Ant's Stag

Friday 3rd March

An evening at my house, Lisa is off in West London visiting friends and family. People start arriving from the late afternoon ( the lucky ones with time off work ) and the bulk arrive in the early evening. The evening kicks off with the opening of many cans of lager and I reach for the bottle of Havana Club Cuban Rum ( never again ! ). The music gets going and people get chatting and generally start having a laugh. Basic introductions lead to a great atmosphere and there is some nervous conversation regarding the forthcoming 'virtual soldier experience' the next morning. At about 8.30pm Dawn from the casino shop arrives at the party to setup a blackjack table in the lounge. Most of us didnt have a clue how to play Blackjack but we soon got into the swing of things. To make things a little more exciting we decided on a £5 stake, which Marcroft promptly fleeced from us, but being the sport he is decided to give some of it as a tip for Dawn, who as a croupier was fabulous. Sat and Jar leave at about 2am and the remainder of the party get to bed at about 4am.

Saturday 4th March ( with pictures )

Up at 7.30 am ! A very sober Mark ensures we are out of the house by 8am, just about all of us have incredibly sore heads, and to say the least definately not up for a morning and afternoon of arsing about in the woods with guns. Never the less Mark gets us to a field in Bishops Stortford for enrollment in the next event of the stag weekend, the virtual soldier experience. After enrolment and basic training in the use of the British Army developed headhunter sa80 replica rifles, we proceeded to be split amongst another team of people there for the fun into groups of 10. We had an amazing time playing various games such as capture the oppositions box, protect the VIP and last man standing. We were all exhausted by the end of the day and offer many thank yous to the staff who were simply excellent in really adding to the atmosphere of the day, we proceeded to a nearby pub for some much needed lunch and some hair of the dog. Back home by 4pm, some of us collapsed with sore legs, some of us got our heads down for some essential kip. Ross unfortunately had to leave at this point to get home and feed his dog. Showered and out by 8pm to start the evening off after a bit of a mini tournament playing doubles on Fifa 2006 on the xbox. Hit the town, got some food at Nando's and moved on to club valentino off of Colchester town high street. Now the first thing that struck me about the club was how elegant it was, we got there very early, in fact I think we were the first in the place, where we dominated the bar.

Cant type anymore right now, my head is killing me, dont forget to click the pictures link at the top....night
